The purpose of the Southside Business Technology Center (SBTC) is to promote economic development in Southside Virginia.
SBTC helps entrepreneurs enhance their knowledge of business management through the development of high-quality business projects, individual consultations and seminars tailored to specific client needs. The Southside Business Technology Center also helps businesses obtain data and analysis that is generally unobtainable to them on their own. The SBTC receives its funding from the Harvest Foundation and the Lucy P. Sale Foundation.
The Southside Business Technology Center (SBTC) was created in partnership with Virginia Tech in 2005 and is located in the West Piedmont Business Development Center (WPBDC) in uptown Martinsville.
