Intern Testimonials:

“I want to thank you for the opportunities and experiences that I had with SBTC. I’m sure it sounds cheesy, but I really do owe a lot to you all. I appreciate the fact that even though I was an intern, you gave me responsibilities and challenging work. What I learned from the client meetings with Milhous and presentations for Hilden has already been incredibly valuable, and I feel very prepared to join a client team now. Also, thanks for the advice while I was interviewing for jobs and trying to make the right decision.”

"My internship at the SBTC was a great learning period for me. I was able to apply the tools and concepts learned during my MBA courses, directly during the internship projects. I got an opportunity to work on a variety of projects, such as market research and analysis, business plan, organizational plan, etc. Going forward in my career, this internship experience will give me a head start, while working in the area of market research and consulting."

“At the SBTC, I got a real-world consulting experience in developing marketing plans, business plans, and organizational plans for small to medium enterprises. These plans were aimed at economic development of the Southside Virginia region. I got exposed to SBTC professional project reports, and novel ways of conducting market research. With the expert guidance of the Business Analyst - Varun Sadana, I developed project management skills, which helped me in formulating the deliverable in my college capstone project report and final presentation, structuring the project report, setting
timelines for various tasks in the project, and accomplishing the short-term objectives with excellent teamwork. My capstone project on Zimmerman Vineyards won the second prize at the Small Business Institute, North Carolina, in the graduate category.”
